Organic Mark

Nordic Koivu birch sap is verifiably and certifiably organic. Nordic Koivu birch sap uses the organic mark of the Finnish Food Agency / Finfood LUOMU.

The objective of organic production is to help maintain nature's cleanliness and vitality, and to ensure that foodstuff is produced as naturally as possible, utilising nature's own methods. Organic products are safe.

The principles of organic production are put into practice so that the production of organic foodstuff is governed by rules, which all the organic producers are committed to, and the following of which is monitored.

Swan Flag, "Joutsenlippu"

Nordic Koivu birch sap has the right to use the Swan Flag "Joutsenlippu" brand mark. Nordic Koivun birch sap (raw material) is 100% Finnish and the product has been manufactured in Finland.

Eco-Energy

Nordic Koivu Ltd. uses eco-energy and the "Norppa (Saimaa ringed seal) recommends" mark. Our company uses the "Yritysvihreä" green electricity of Pohjois-Karjalan Sähkö (Northern Karelia electricity) and thus participates in promoting the use of environmentally friendly power production in Finland.

"PKS Yritysvihreä" green electricity is generated with wood, wind and a hydroelectric power plant built prior to 1997, which is in accordance with the standards set for renewable energy by Finnish Association for Nature Conservation.

The objectives of the "Norppa Recommends" mark are to have an impact on the formation of a sustainable power production system, and to build consumer awareness of the impacts of power production on the environment.
